Responsibilities
Apply Procurement Regulations: Learn and apply the Louisiana Procurement Code and agency-specific policies to ensure compliant acquisition of goods and services not covered by the Office of State Procurement
Support the Procurement Process: Assist in preparing and coordinating solicitations, evaluating vendor bids, and participating in vendor selection under close supervision
Vendor and Stakeholder Communication: Facilitate clear and timely communication with vendors and internal stakeholders regarding contract terms, delivery schedules, product specifications, and order modifications
Monitor Deliveries and Quality: Track the status of orders, verify receipt of goods and services, and ensure compliance with quality standards and contract requirements
Maintain Procurement Records: Accurately document procurement activities, maintain vendor files, and support audit readiness through organized and up-to-date records management
Qualification
Required
Five years of experience in procurement, contracts or grants management, financial management, accounting, or auditing
Six years of full-time work experience in any field plus two years of experience in procurement, contracts or grants management, financial management, accounting, or auditing
A bachelor's degree plus two years of experience in procurement, contracts or grants management, financial management, accounting, or auditing
An advanced degree plus one year of experience in procurement, contracts or grants management, financial management, accounting, or auditing
Designation as a Certified Professional Public Buyer (CPPB), a Certified Public Procurement Officer (CPPO), or a National Institute of Governmental Purchasing Certified Procurement Professional (NIGP-CPP) will substitute for a maximum of one year of the required experience
