Responsibilities

Safety: Adhering strictly to all safety protocols and guidelines to protect ourselves, our colleagues, and our workplace. Safety is non-negotiable and must be integrated into every task we perform
Quality: Maintaining rigorous quality standards in all deliverables, ensuring that our work meets or exceeds expectations and complies with all regulatory and company requirements
Must successfully complete the new hire foundational training to obtain and maintain all required certifications
Proficient use of a computer in a dynamic production environment
Look up/read/comprehend electronic technical work instructions, drawings and/or specifications
Wear appropriate protective clothing/equipment determined by the task performed
Operate various mechanical lifts (e.g. ladders, tiger and snorkel lifts)
Use various hand tools and diagnostic equipment such as screwdrivers, ratchets, power screwdriver multi meters, continuity testers
Apply chemical solvents, sealants, coatings, primers, adhesives, paints and special finishes
Inspect your work quality and check for Foreign Object Debris
Work around energized sources (electrical equipment and hazards/shock, e.g. circuit breakers and wiring) and exposure to constant noise
Finger manipulation (keyboarding, other)
Lifting and carrying up to 10-35 pounds
Climbing/balancing (stairs, ladders, poles, scaffolding, inclined surfaces), crawling, crouching (squatting)
Flexion/Extension (head bent down, head bent back), handling, kneeling, bending at the waist, reaching (overhead), rotation of head/neck, standing, twisting at the waist and walking

Required

Be a student or recent graduate of a Boeing Pre-Employment Training course that is certified for the BPET Assembly Structures Mechanic role
Ability to work a variable shift as noted further below
Ability to meet physical demands of the role such as flexion and extension (head bent down, head bent back), handling, kneeling, bending at the waist, reaching overhead, rotation of head/neck, standing, twisting at the waist and walking, climbing/balancing (stairs, ladders, poles, scaffolding, inclined surfaces), crawling, crouching (squatting)
Ability to lift/carry up to 10-35 pounds
Ability to work with high-hazard chemicals
Ability to complete and maintain Confined Space and Fall Protection certifications, as required
Experience using software applications such as internet navigation, email, Microsoft Office Suite, and/or other specialized computer applications
Experience following detailed work instructions, reading and interpreting blueprints, drawings, or specifications, in English
Experience applying mathematical calculations
Experience in a technical, or mechanical field performing work with basic hand, power, and/or pneumatic (air) tools
Experience in manufacturing, fabrication, or assembly processes and procedures
