Responsibilities
Conduct thorough risk assessments to identify potential vulnerabilities and work with business to implement strategies to mitigate risks
Manage the secure integration and removal of applications within the organization's IT environment
Monitor the configuration, maintenance, and monitoring of firewalls to ensure robust network security
Ensure the secure development and deployment of APIs, including regular security testing and monitoring
Stay updated with the latest cybersecurity trends and technologies to enhance the organization’s security posture
Develop KPIs and build and maintain Power BI dashboards for cybersecurity initiatives
Teach cybersecurity awareness at Caterpillar facilities, host cybersecurity escape rooms, plan and facilitate cybersecurity awareness month, teach cybersecurity skills to new employees
Assist the business with LTA (Logical Technical Architecture) implementation, onboarding new OT, IoT, network and other solutions, IAAS issue remediation, answer common cybersecurity related questions, and ensure compliance with company policies and government regulations
Conduct research to stay abreast of the latest attack vectors and remediation recommendations
Participate in projects to ensure cybersecurity best practices are implemented by the business throughout the project’s lifecycle
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, cybersecurity, or a related field, or equivalent experience
Cybersecurity experience spanning several years
Experience with agile/scrum methodology
Experience in building customer-focused processes
Experience in integrating security assessments in the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
Preferred
One or more professional information security certification(s) from an accredited institution (CISSP, CCSP, CISSP, CISM, GCED, Linux, etc.)
Experience with Power Bi dashboard creation and maintenance
Excellent relationship-building, critical thinking, problem-solving, as well as written/verbal communication skills
