Responsibilities
Lead a $10M+ multi‑tower infrastructure migration program
Plan and manage migrations across:
Distributed platforms (Windows, Linux, VMware)
Network services (LAN/WAN, firewalls, load balancing, VPN)
Storage, backup, and disaster recovery
Security and compliance services
Midrange platforms (IBM i / AIX)
Mainframe environments (IBM Z / zOS)
Establish and run program governance, including steering committees, KPIs, RAID logs, and change control
Manage interdependencies across applications, platforms, security, and operations
Oversee cutover planning, command center execution, and legacy decommissioning
Ensure operational readiness, service management transition, and formal handoff to operations/MSPs
Lead risk identification, mitigation, and issue resolution
Manage vendors and managed service providers, holding them accountable to SLAs and milestones
Communicate program status, risks, and outcomes to senior leadership and executives
Develop program charters, milestone plans, and long‑range (3–5 year) roadmaps
Mentor junior Project Managers and promote consistent PM practices
Qualification
Required
10+ years in infrastructure program or project management
5+ years leading large-scale infrastructure or data center migrations
Experience managing complex, high-risk, high-visibility programs
Demonstrated leadership across distributed, midrange, and mainframe environments
Demonstrated leadership across physical and virtual data centers
Demonstrated leadership across hybrid, lift-and-shift, and re-platform migrations
Strong executive communication and stakeholder management skills
Extensive experience managing multi-million-dollar programs
Proven ability to coordinate global, remote, and matrixed teams
Expertise in program governance, risk management, change control, and dependency management
Compute: x86, VMware, private and hosted cloud
Storage: SAN/NAS, replication, capacity planning
Network: routing, firewalls, VPNs, load balancers, segmentation
Backup, disaster recovery, monitoring, and CMDB
Security and compliance in regulated environments
Legacy platforms: IBM Z/zOS, IBM i (AS/400), AIX
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
Strong grounding in PMI principles or standard project management methodologies
Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Project
