Responsibilities
Manage the patient flow throughout the clinic and assist providers in the management and treatment of their patients
Communicate with the health care team related to progress, concerns, questions or problems that arise
Collaborate with the Clinic Supervisor, Clinic Manager, and Providers to meet the defined goals of the customer, shift, department and organization
Qualification
Required
High School graduate or equivalent (i.e. GED) required
Graduate of a Medical Assistant program accredited by a recognized accrediting organization (i.e. Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs, Accrediting Bureau of Health Education Schools) with on the job experience and training OR
Graduate of a Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) program accredited by a national health services organization (i.e. American Medical Technologists) with on-the-job experience and training and passing the RMA certification exam
Current BLS Certification
Registered Medical Assistant certification required if RMA program attended
Must be able to prioritize multiple tasks in an efficient manner
Knowledge of a skill in using computer software applications
Preferred
Previous experience in a clinical setting preferred
Passed X-Ray Operator's examination, or willing to take exam according to individual clinic needs
