Responsibilities
Building Partnerships: You’ll identify and get to know top-tier suppliers, making sure they align with our high standards and values
The Art of Negotiation: You’ll assist in navigating contracts, ensuring we get the best terms while keeping our risks low
Driving the RFx Process: You’ll lead "request for" events, making sure project designs, pricing, and quality are all perfectly in sync
Analyzing & Recommending: You won’t just crunch numbers; you’ll analyze quotes and make the final call on who we should partner with for our next big win
Keeping the Pulse: You’ll monitor supplier performance, solve any hiccups in delivery or quality, and keep our purchasing system organized and up-to-date
Collaboration is Key: You’ll work closely with our Engineering, Estimating, and Ops teams to make sure our sourcing strategy supports our big-picture goals
Qualification
Required
At least 2 years of experience as a Buyer in Construction or Engineering
A 2-year degree in Business/Management or equivalent hands-on experience in the field
Proficient with Microsoft Office, especially Excel
Clear and friendly communication skills, both written and verbal
Willingness to travel as needed for the job
Preferred
Experience working in Solar or Power Generation
Experience with Viewpoint
