Sr Quality Improvement Analyst - Phoenix Children's Care Network

Responsibilities
Assists in designing, implementing, and maintaining a comprehensive continuous quality improvement (QI) program
Works with PCCN leadership and staff to develop and integrate quality improvement processes into all aspects of PCCN’s clinical programs and operations. (i.e., PIT, ICC)
Serves as a subject matter expert on NCQA/HEDIS and CMS Core quality measures as well as AHCCCS quality programs for PCCN and its practices
Contributes to a culture of continuous improvement and excellence, promotes standardization, efficiency, efficacy, and safety across the institute
Analyzes clinical information from a variety of internal and external sources relating to patient safety, utilization of resources, system problems, and other quality functions
Demonstrates strong project management skills by organizing and overseeing multiple quality improvement projects concurrently
Stays up to date on industry trends, regulations, and best practices related to quality performance and value-based care
Reviews practice performance data for trends in the context of best clinical practice as well as contractual quality goals
Works with PCCN leadership and staff to implement a comprehensive performance improvement program for PCCN and PCCN’s practices using formal process improvement techniques including but not limited to PDSA, DMAIC, and Lean Six Sigma
Uses performance trends to develop plans for practice engagement, education, and process improvement
In coordination with the Practice Integration team, provides ongoing process improvement support to PCCN’s practices by frequently reviewing practice-level performance and outcomes data, observing clinical workflows, identifying root causes, implementing ongoing performance improvement activities, and evaluating the effectiveness of performance improvement activities on an ongoing basis
Contributes to the development and maintenance of a library of quality performance best practices for PCCN’s practices
Contributes to the development and implementation of innovative approaches to address patient gaps-in-care specific to PCCN’s contractual quality measures
Work collaboratively with network practices in obtaining patient records and supplemental data to submit to partnered health plans
Communicate clearly and effectively with internal teams, external stakeholders, and payor partners
Develop positive relationships with key stakeholders to facilitate collaboration and information exchange
Collaborate with payor partners to plan Clinical Quality Meetings, including agenda development and scheduling
Present PCCN’s contract performance and population health initiatives in meetings with internal and external stakeholders
Generate reports and presentations to communicate progress and outcomes to stakeholders
Reports data from quality initiatives to appropriate individuals, departments and committees through interpretive presentations, automated electronic reports, and/or publications
Assists in the development and maintenance of performance dashboards indicating performance against contractual obligations and/or population health initiatives in coordination with the data and analytics team
In some circumstances, will assist the Phoenix Children’s Data and Analytics division in data management, reporting, and operational integration
Work with Phoenix Children’s research teams to support PCCN’s quality initiatives in the development of research papers and academic writings
Performs miscellaneous job related duties as requested
Qualification
Required
Bachelor`s Degree in Healthcare Administration, Public Health, Nursing, or related field
Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in healthcare quality improvement, project management, or related field
Previous experience with process improvement methodologies (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma)
Strong understanding of healthcare quality measures (HEDIS, NCQA, etc.), value-based contracting, and payer-provider relationships
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain positive relationships with diverse stakeholders
Demonstrated project management skills, including the ability to organize, prioritize, and manage multiple tasks effectively
Analytical mindset with proficiency in data analysis and reporting
Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Smartsheet, and/or project management software
Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and healthcare informatics
Preferred
Master`s Degree in Healthcare Administration, Public Health, Nursing, or related field
Experience working in a managed care or health insurance setting
Certification in healthcare quality (e.g., CPHQ) or project management (e.g., PMP)
