Responsibilities
Design, deploy, and manage secure, scalable network and related infrastructure (compute, storage, etc.) solutions across enterprise and mission-critical environments
Perform network capacity planning, performance tuning, and optimization
Ensure network architecture and infrastructure complies with federal security standards for the respective national security customer (e.g., DISA STIGs, FISMA, FedRAMP, NIST 800-53)
Develop and maintain documentation including network and infrastructure diagrams, SOPs, and contingency plans
Collaborate with cybersecurity, systems engineering, and cloud teams to align on end-to-end architecture, and to support implementation, maintenance and incident response
Manage vendor relationships, evaluate tools, and implement new technologies as appropriate
Support ATO/accreditation efforts and participate in security audits and assessments
Provide escalation support and technical leadership during network incidents and outages
Interact with other area Leads to understand dependencies and technical resources to craft a repeatable architecture solution
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field OR additional equivalent work experience
8+ years of experience in network engineering; 3+ years in a technical leadership role
Strong experience with Cisco, Juniper, or Palo Alto technologies
Expert level architecture creation and support experience; strong troubleshooting and documentation skills
Proficiency in routing/switching, VPNs, firewalls, and load balancing in enterprise and secure environments
Experience supporting federal networks and knowledge of RMF, DISA STIGs, or NIST 800-53
Familiarity with Cloud network integrations (AWS, Azure, Oracle Cloud, etc.)
Experience with Terraform scripting or AWS/Cloud Formation
Prior experience supporting the Intelligence Community
Must have active TS/SCI with Polygraph
Preferred
Certifications: CCNP, CISSP, CEH, JNCIP, or similar
Experience with SD-WAN, Zero Trust architecture, or hybrid-Cloud networking
Knowledge of federal compliance frameworks (FedRAMP, FISMA, CMMC)
