Responsibilities
Lead the day-to-day operations of the Electronic Payments team (ePay)
Ensure the deposits and certification data of all incoming electronic state tax monies processed by NCDOR are correct
Encompasses the operational aspects of all the systems associated with these functions
Assist team members in understanding critical functions as well as assisting with daily tasks as needed
Train employees
Hire employees
Conduct employee evaluations
Research electronic payment errors reported from tax accounts, financial institutions, payroll service providers, taxpayers and DOR employees to determine the causes, resolve problems, and work with all parties to prevent future issues
Ensure that electronic payment exceptions are processed daily
Process banks payments and bad payments accordingly in the various processing systems
Qualification
Required
High school diploma or General Educational Development (GED) diploma and four years of progressively responsible administrative/office management experience, including one year as a lead worker; or equivalent combination of education and experience
Possess strong interpersonal and customer service skills including excellent verbal and written communication skills
Possess good analytical skills to help resolve technical and balancing issues with ability to reconcile accounts and various processing platforms
Possess strong organizational and planning skills with ability to multi-task and prioritize responsibilities and ensure goals and deadlines are met
Experience in remittance processing, internet transactions and/or banking
