They are seeking a Staff Full Stack Engineer to design and scale complex financial technology and crypto systems, focusing on payment orchestration, real-time risk decisions, and compliance management.

Responsibilities
Payment Orchestration: Own the design and implementation of fault-tolerant, idempotent APIs for payment orchestration across bank rails (ACH, RTP, FedNow, SEPA, Open Banking) and card networks (Apple Pay, Google Pay)
Third-Party Integrations: Integrate and manage third-party providers (including payment processors, Open Banking APIs, and blockchain analytics tools) behind clean, reliable, and versioned interfaces
Real-Time Risk Engine: Build and scale a real-time risk engine (targeting <300ms latency) that combines rulesets, ML scores, device signals, sanctions/KYC hits, and blockchain analytics to generate rapid, accurate risk decisions
Compliance & Auditability: Implement core KYC/AML primitives (CIP/CDD, sanctions/PEP screening, Travel Rule data) and ensure robust, audit-ready journaling in collaboration with the Compliance team
Financial Integrity: Ship a precise double-entry ledger and reconciliation system to accurately tie together balances from processors, bank statements, and on-chain wallets, including daily break detection and automated remediation
Crypto Delivery: Ensure the safe and fast delivery of crypto assets to user wallets (e.g., USDC/SOL) by managing hot-wallet flow, transaction creation, confirmations, and operational safeguards
System Reliability: Significantly raise the bar on reliability by implementing SLOs, circuit breakers, retries, DLQs, shadow traffic, and canary release strategies, and participating in the on-call rotation for a 24/7 system
Collaboration: Work cross-functionally with product, mobile, compliance, risk, and finance to take features from concept to production
Qualification
Required
Experienced specialist with a proven track record building end-to-end fiat-to-crypto onramp systems
Expert in high-throughput, low-latency distributed systems, particularly within payments, FinTech risk, or core FinTech architecture
Fluent in Rust, Go, or TypeScript/Node/Python with strong systems engineering skills
Deep expertise in Postgres (including transactions, indexing, locking) and familiarity with caching (Redis) and event/OLAP stores (Kafka/Redpanda, ClickHouse)
Mastery of gRPC/REST best practices, API versioning, pagination, robust authN/Z, idempotency, and designing resilient webhook consumers
Strong event-driven design thinking, including working with queues, the outbox/inbox pattern, and guaranteeing exactly-once-effective behavior
Security-minded approach to key management, HSM/KMS, secrets hygiene, least privilege, and auditability
Ownership-driven, comfortable with ambiguity, and thrives on rapid iteration
Preferred
Experience with payments specifics (ACH returns, 3DS), Open Banking APIs (Plaid/TrueLayer), risk/fraud tooling, Travel Rule compliance, Solana RPCs, and double-entry ledger accounting
Familiarity with AWS, Terraform, Kubernetes, and OpenTelemetry
