Responsibilities
Evaluate customers’ natural gas and diesel engines and provide engineered solutions to upgrade from Cooper’s portfolio
Adapt the technology package to customer, site, and unit-specific requirements
Communicate effectively with internal and external customers during project execution and willingness to support cross-functional teams
Must possess excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills
Must possess a strong desire to learn, investigate, and provide technical solutions to upgrade engine equipment for emissions improvement
Must have the ability to lead assigned projects as an Application Engineer for engine and compressor overhauls and upgrades
Must be humble, willing to accept responsibility, and work to find solutions to complex technical issues
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or another engineering or technical field with mechanical work experience
Must have 7+ years of work experience in a mechanical engineering or related field
Have knowledge of oilfields, production facilities, and compression operations
Ability to develop strong interpersonal relationships with customers
Demonstrates strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills
Proficient with Microsoft Office Products (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Word)
Commitment to safety, customer service quality, and to work in a team-oriented environment
Prior experience that demonstrates a strong work ethic and ability to multi-task
Commitment to customer service and ability to work in a team-oriented environment
Operated daily with a sense of urgency, ownership, and commitment to the team above self
Preferred
Reciprocating equipment experience in engines, engine control systems, and emissions equipment is a plus, a willingness to learn is required
Familiarity with the design and operations of reciprocating compressors and internal combustion engines and their sub-assemblies is a plus, a willingness to learn is required
