Vice President, Operations

SoundHR LLC is seeking a Vice President of Operations to provide executive leadership for the organization's client-facing operations. This role is responsible for setting the vision for the department, overseeing client relationship strategies, and driving operational excellence through process optimization and risk management.

Responsibilities

Establishing the department’s strategic roadmap
Driving client-experience strategy at an enterprise scale
Overseeing the evolution of case management and service delivery models
Partnering with executive leadership on company wide initiatives
Oversight of the full client/firm lifecycle
Escalation points for high-value or strategic accounts
Developing retention, growth, and satisfaction programs
Identifying partnership/expansion opportunities
Setting departmental KPIs and OKRs
Forecasting account trends, capacity, and revenue impacts
Overseeing reporting infrastructure used by Directors/Managers
Leading operational reviews with the executives
Defining staffing models, roles, and succession plans
Coaching Directors and Managers
Building a leadership pipeline
Ensuring consistent performance management practices
Prioritizing team culture, engagement, and retention
Standardizing processes across teams
Driving automation and technology improvements
Ensuring scalability as the business grows
Overseeing cross-department alignment (Legal, Ops, Expert Services, etc.)
Removing systemic barriers to team success
Ensuring compliance across all account-management operations
Leading escalation management for service, legal, or operational issues
Identifying systemic risks and implementing preventative safeguards
Overseeing timekeeping, workload balance, and resource controls at a policy level (Director manages execution)

Required

Bachelor's degree required, preferably in Business Administration, Management, Operations, or a related field
Equivalent experience in senior-level account management or operations leadership may be considered in place of an advanced degree
Proficiency in Microsoft 365 and other relevant software
Excellent analytical skills
Good Communication and interpersonal skills

Preferred

Master's degree (MBA or related discipline) is strongly preferred due to the strategic, cross-functional, and organizational leadership responsibilities of the role
3-5 years of professional Legal experience preferred
