Director of Training and Development

The Director of Training and Development will lead the internal training strategy and manage the external HVAC training program, ensuring exceptional customer experience and driving revenue generation through effective training delivery and facilitation.

Responsibilities

Oversee design of highly technical, product specific, soft-skills, and leadership development training content (online, virtual and in-person) for internal and external customers
Ensure exceptional customer experience and satisfaction by creating comprehensive training materials, assessment tools, and certification exams across multiple delivery formats
Develop and manage CE’s external customer-facing technical HVAC training platform as a standalone profit center with full P&L accountability, including pricing structures, revenue, and expense tracking
Monitor profitability metrics and budget allocation to meet annual revenue targets and margin objectives for the external customer-facing training programs
Direct the training function across the entire organization, collaborating on company-wide training strategy from creation through execution to include delivery and measuring training effectiveness
Lead curriculum development and instructional design using industry best practices, establishing KPIs, implementing continuous improvement processes, and ensuring consistent training support across a multi-state environment
Build and lead a high-performing team by hiring and managing managers, facilitators, LMS platform administrators, and curriculum developers, setting performance standards, providing professional development, managing training projects end-to-end, and collaborating cross-functionally to maintain outstanding learning programs aligned with organizational expectations
Maintain and grow current catalog offerings to include new associate onboarding programs, safety, product and system knowledge and leadership development

Required

Bachelor's degree - Master's preferred
3+ years' experience in a national/global role leading design and delivery of learning strategies
5 years' experience as a Training Manager in a corporate environment
