Project Controls Manager
Broaddus & Associates is a recognized leader providing planning and project management services to public and private sector owners. They are seeking a Project Controls Manager to support a major healthcare complex in Houston, TX, focusing on budgeting, scheduling, and financial oversight for large-scale construction projects.
Responsibilities
Provide primary support to Project Managers and Owners by coordinating information requests and incorporating field input into work products
Focus on budgeting and scheduling across multiple large-scale construction projects, including tracking costs and coordinating schedule updates
Manage cost controls, track cash flow, and ensure cost accounting documentation is accurate
Coordinate project change order documentation and monitor RFIs/Submittals for budget and cost implications
Generate and present detailed reports regarding project execution, budget status, and cash flow forecasts to executives and owners
Identify areas of project management that require re-addressing to maintain efficiency and implement process changes
Maintain the Owner Master Schedule (OMS) and perform technical reviews of the Contractor’s Master Schedule
Coordinate the end-to-end process for receiving, reviewing, and approving pay applications for contractors and consultants
Qualification
Required
Minimum of 10 years in project controls, preferably within a Hospital or Healthcare capital construction environment on programs ranging from $250M to $800M
Bachelor's degree in architecture, engineering, construction management, or a related field (formal technical training and experience may be substituted)
Strong problem-solving, organizational, and written/oral communication skills
Ability to multi-task and work with a diverse group of vendors, executive managers, and consultants
Expert proficiency in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook
Mastery of eBuilder™ is required
Demonstrable experience using Key Performance Indicators to measure delivery quality and cost metrics
Preferred
Working knowledge of Primavera P6 scheduling software
Experience with Owner InSite™ or Procore™
Experience in the preparation and delivery of executive-level presentations
