Human Resources Generalist

Leading Edge Composites is seeking a knowledgeable and hands-on Part-Time Human Resources Generalist to support daily HR operations within their manufacturing facility. This role will serve as a key resource for employees and leadership, assisting with employee relations, onboarding, compliance, benefits administration, and general HR support.

Responsibilities

Serve as the primary point of contact for employee HR-related questions and concerns
Assist with recruitment efforts including job postings, resume screening, interview coordination, onboarding, and attending out of office events where necessary
Coordinate new hire orientation and ensure completion of required employment documentation and trainings
Support employee relations matters, including annual reviews, performance issues, attendance, workplace concerns, investigations, and exit interviews as needed
Assist with the development and updating of job descriptions
Assist with benefits administration, including enrollments, changes, and employee inquiries
Maintain accurate and confidential employee personnel files and HR records
Primary coordinator to ensure that all training activities are completed and documented
Support payroll processes by tracking employee status changes, timekeeping issues, and documentation
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations (including PA labor laws)
Assist with policy development, updates, and communication to employees
Support performance management processes and employee development initiatives
Assist and maintain compensation strategies for all employees utilizing various market research and surveys
Assist with workers’ compensation claims, unemployment claims, and leave administration (FMLA, ADA, etc.) as applicable
Participate in safety initiatives and support OSHA compliance in coordination with leadership
Perform other duties as assigned
Responsible for EEOC reporting
Responsible for FMLA administration where applicable
Responsible for OSHA 300-A reporting

Required

Bachelor's degree in human resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred
Minimum of 2–4 years of HR Generalist experience; manufacturing or industrial environment experience strongly preferred
Working knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices
Experience with HRIS systems and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with employees at all levels
Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with professionalism and discretion
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Ability to work independently while collaborating with leadership and cross-functional teams
Driver's License (Required)
Ability to Commute: Coatesville, PA 19320 (Required)

Preferred

SHRM-CP or PHR certification (preferred but not required)
