Manufacturing product development prototypes
Designing and specifying process equipment and overseeing its commissioning
Designing and implementing in-process tooling
Implementing process set-up instructions and process validation tests
Qualification
Required
B.S. Chemical Engineer, Mechanical Engineering, Materials Engineering from an ABET accredited university or equivalent
Minimum three years of extrusion or injection molding experience
Solid understanding of the relationship between material processing and material properties
Strong applied statistical skills particularly in process capabilities and experimental design
Strong technical writing skills
Able to effectively collaborate in cross-functional team environments
Proficient problem solver that uses engineering principles, structured techniques, and creative critical thinking to generate practical solutions and contingencies
Able to adapt and excel in dynamic situations
Detail oriented
Strong independent work ethic and results driven
Proficient in computer and software use particularly Microsoft apps and services
Preferred
Knowledge of cable processes and design are desired
