Responsibilities
Support the monthly close process to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting, with a focus on continuous process improvement and reducing close timelines
Prepare monthly journal entries for assigned R&D and other cost areas, ensuring accuracy and completeness
Prepare monthly account reconciliations and prepare assigned sections of the monthly balance sheet and income statement fluctuation analysis
Collaborate with other teams and third-party vendors to ensure the accuracy of financial information
Support annual audit activities and internal control reviews by preparing schedules, analyses, and supporting documentation
Contribute to the development and maintenance of SOX controls and internal accounting policies as part of our public-company readiness and compliance efforts
Support the annual preparation and audit of statutory financial statements
Ad-hoc tasks as assigned
All other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in finance, business, accounting or related field preferred
A minimum of 5+ years of experience in accounting or finance
Experience in the life sciences industry and familiarity with R&D accounting strongly preferred
High level of accuracy and attention to detail
Ability to manage multiple priorities and tight deadlines in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
A proactive, solutions-oriented mindset with the ability to overcome obstacles and drive results
Strong collaboration skills and the ability to work cross-functionally
Proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, etc)
