Inside Sales Engineer
Busch Vacuum Solutions is seeking an Inside Sales Engineer to provide sales support and customer engagement. The role involves responding to customer inquiries, developing customized solutions, and managing sales activities through CRM tools.
Responsibilities
Respond to incoming customer inquiries via phone, email, and web forms with professionalism and urgency
Develop customized vacuum solutions aligned with customer requirements through collaboration with field sales and cross-functional support teams
Qualify sales leads and route high-potential opportunities to appropriate field sales or technical experts
Proactively follow up on marketing-generated leads, trade show contacts, and digital campaigns
Maintain regular contact with assigned C- and D-tier customers to identify upsell and cross-sell opportunities
Prepare and issue accurate and timely quotes using SAP/CRM tools
Track and manage all sales activities in the CRM, ensuring pipeline visibility and sales forecast accuracy
Maintain records of customer interactions, quotes, and purchase history to improve customer experience
Work closely with Field Sales (Regional Sales Managers, Territory Managers) to ensure seamless handoff of qualified leads and support larger project bids
Collaborate with Systems Engineers and Product Marketing Management on technical inquiries and solution configuration
Support pricing, availability, and delivery inquiries in collaboration with Customer Service and Operations
Communicate the features, benefits, and applications of industrial vacuum pumps, systems, and services
Promote service offerings such as preventive maintenance contracts, service core exchanges, or equipment upgrades
Help customers understand the total cost of ownership and value-added services offered
Actively contribute to the development and refinement of Inside Sales workflows and best practices
Provide feedback from customer interactions to inform marketing campaigns and product development
Meet or exceed monthly KPIs related to lead qualification, opportunity generation, and sales revenue
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Engineering - Required
2+ years of B2B inside sales or technical sales experience; experience in industrial or technical products a plus
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM software
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to read and interpret technical specifications and drawings is desirable
Self-motivated, organized, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Strong oral and written communication skills
Motivated, detail-oriented, and goal-driven
Positive, professional attitude with strong organizational skills
Able to work independently or as part of a collaborative team
Ability and willingness to pass a 10-panel drug screen, 7-year criminal history check
Most felonies are a disqualifier, misdemeanors are considered on a case-by-case basis
Must be willing and able to utilize all required PPE
Willingness to travel domestically for training
Valid Drivers' License must be maintained throughout employment that meets Busch insurance standards
Employment with Busch Vacuum Solutions requires current work authorization in the United States. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position
