Responsibilities

Serve as the PostgreSQL Technical Lead overseeing complex database architectures for a mortgage account at Financial Client
Design, implement, and optimize PostgreSQL and MongoDB databases focused on scalability, reliability, and performance
Manage high-availability database clusters (PostgreSQL & MongoDB) with disaster recovery and global deployment
Utilize AWS/Cloud tools for database monitoring, storage management, performance tuning, and automation
Oversee and execute regular database administration tasks including backup/recovery, security, and compliance
Lead end-to-end database migration projects from legacy systems to cloud-native solutions ensuring minimal downtime and data integrity
Provide technical leadership by mentoring junior engineers and collaborating with cross-functional teams to align database solutions with business goals
Document technical solutions, operational procedures, and best practices for database management
Ensure compliance with regulatory and security standards for data management

Required

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
8+ years hands-on experience with PostgreSQL and MongoDB

Certifications in PostgreSQL, MongoDB, or AWS
experience with AWS Lambda, EC2, S3
