Responsibilities
This position will provide leadership to the multi-disciplinary team who together provide excellent customer service to internal and external customers (HVAC contractors, Dealers, internal associates, etc.)
Directs achievement of performance objectives related to safety, training, quality, delivery, employee morale and cost
Supervises the performance of all tasks involved in the shipment, receiving workflow, picking and outbound workflow as well as the requisition and storage of materials, supplies and equipment into and from warehouse
Lead operational efforts aimed at maintaining accurate inventory throughout the supply channel
Monitors workflow, work completed, error rates and related metrics and take corrective action
Ensures procedures are established, implemented and adhered to by all team members
Collaborates to improve the overall product supply operation, performance, and to maximize overall operational efficiencies
Ensures quality and inspection process is accurate and excess costs are eliminated
Maintain discipline in use of forklifts (maintenance, speed control etc.) along with safety of all equipment
Ensure all storage equipment is maintained and inspected according to company and regulatory requirements
Ensure a continuous stream of talent to sustain organizational/department growth and improve operations by attracting, retaining, and developing team members to meet their needs for career growth
Qualification
Required
Knowledgeable in all facets of distribution operations
Familiar with SKU and Barcode Technology and systems
Experience in transportation and logistics
Ability to ensure inventory coordination and accuracy
Experience in supervising inventory control procedures and processes
Ability to administer and maintain safety programs and protocol
Knowledge of Power Industrial Lift Truck operational standards and safety
Leadership skills to provide guidance to a multi-disciplinary team
Ability to direct achievement of performance objectives related to safety, training, quality, delivery, employee morale, and cost
