Accounting Analyst

SPX FLOW, Inc. is seeking an Accounting Analyst to support the financial operations at the Palmyra site. The role involves ensuring accurate financial reporting, compliance with accounting standards, and collaboration across functions while contributing to process improvements and operational excellence.

Responsibilities

Prepare and post recurring journal entries and perform account reconciliations to support month-end close activities
Support Accounts Payable functions, including gathering and validating invoice data, coordinating with internal stakeholders for approvals, ensuring proper coding and documentation, and supporting timely and accurate disbursements and forecasting
Assist in cost roll processes and provide data analysis to support financial decision-making
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including production, materials, and quality to ensure accurate financial data and reporting
Maintain and improve internal controls and ensure compliance with GAAP and company policies
Participate in financial forecasting, budgeting, and reporting activities
Assist with external audit preparation and provide necessary documentation
Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities to streamline accounting processes and enhance system utilization
Provide financial support to both the Palmyra and Rochester sites as needed
Travel up to 25% to either site depending on location and business needs

Required

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required
2–5 years of experience in accounting or financial analysis
Solid understanding of GAAP and internal controls
Familiarity with ERP systems and financial software
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other financial tools
Effective written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work collaboratively across departments
High attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
Adaptability to changing business needs and environments
Strong interpersonal skills and team-oriented mindset

Preferred

CPA or CMA certification is a plus but not required
Experience in a manufacturing environment preferred
Familiarity with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or similar platforms
