Responsibilities
Handle, review, and administer Family & Medical Leave Act standalone/ADA (as well as other leave) claims and adhere to federal and state regulatory and/or company plan requirements and established FMLA workflow procedures and evaluate against appropriate leave plans and make initial claim decisions
Complete eligibility decisions during intake call, gather pertinent data when necessary, from employee or other supporting systems as well as perform leave follow-ups as required, including recertification of health condition, intermittent claim tracking, RTW confirmation, etc
Update systems to accurately reflect leave status and ensure appropriate diary documentation exists
Qualification
Required
High school diploma or GED equivalent
1-2 years related experience and strong customer satisfaction focus and attention to detail
Strong communication skills, both written and oral
Demonstrated critical thinking in activities requiring analysis, investigation, and/or planning
Strong Letter writing/Microsoft Word skills
Preferred
Bachelor's degree
1-2 years of experience managing ADA, FMLA, or Absence Management
Knowledge of system applications and Disability claims knowledge/working knowledge of FMLA/Disability/Leave procedures preferred
1+ years of experience in one or more leave State and Federal Leave Laws
