Student Assistant - Orientation Programs
Auburn University is seeking a Student Assistant for Orientation Programs within the Student Affairs division. The role involves providing support for orientation programs, managing communications, and assisting with general office tasks to enhance the first-year experience for students.

Responsibilities
Provide friendly and courteous service to students, family members and campus partners
Accurately complete data entry related to our programs including confidential student information
Manage First Year Experience (FYE) mailings and email account
Answer the phone and serve as a resource to callers and/or guests in the FYE office
Assist with special projects as assigned by staff members
Assist with general office tasks such as mailing, copying, shredding, running errands etc
Provide support during FYE programs (may include early/late hours)
Qualification
Required
Student Assistants must be full-time, undergraduate students at Auburn University and be available to work summer 2026
Applicants should possess excellent communication and teamwork skills, as well as comfortable handling multiple tasks
A desire to provide good customer service and the ability to adhere to confidentiality are necessary
Excellent communication skills (strong English skills required)
Positive attitude and friendly demeanor
Adept at learning new computer systems and software
Organized and efficient
Flexibility
Preferred
Familiarity with basic word processing and desktop publishing such as Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Publisher, etc
Ability to work 12-15 hours per week, Monday-Friday between 7:45am and 4:45pm
Ideal candidates will continue through 2026-2027 as well
