U.S. Bank is on a journey to help customers and businesses make better financial decisions. They are seeking a Corporate Development (M&A) Senior Analyst to evaluate high-impact opportunities and conduct competitive market analyses, playing a critical role in the organization’s growth strategy.

Responsibilities

Work closely with the Corporate Development team and business lines in creating financial forecasts and valuation analyses for strategic initiatives
Prepare internal presentations outlining the transaction opportunity, strategic rationale, key considerations and financial impact
Assist with the due diligence process, including validating financial assumptions and identifying key risks and opportunities
Prepare market analyses to identify attractive expansion opportunities for U.S. Bancorp and perform competitive market analyses by researching market trends, competitive landscape and best practices
Perform initial intangible allocation analysis and partner with business lines in their annual impairment review of intangibles and goodwill
Assist with special projects undertaken by the Corporate Development department as required

Preferred

Advanced Microsoft Excel financial modeling skills
4+ years financial analysis experience, preferably with financial services firm, corporate mergers and acquisitions, investment banking, private equity or venture capital
Proficient Microsoft PowerPoint skills
Well-developed mathematical and analytical skills
Ability to exercise independent judgment in evaluating acquisition opportunities, business initiatives and other valuation related projects
Strong communication and organizational skills
Self-motivated and able to work with limited direction
Proven ability to operate with discretion and protect highly confidential information
