Responsibilities

Report breaking news across U.S. equities, ETFs, earnings, and macroeconomic events
Track stock price movements and identify market-moving catalysts
Cover earnings releases, SEC filings, mergers and acquisitions, IPOs, and corporate developments
Write clear, concise, and SEO-optimized stories under tight deadlines
Use financial platforms such as Bloomberg, Refinitiv, Benzinga Pro, and EDGAR to source and verify information
Collaborate with editors to maintain high editorial standards and publishing accuracy
Adhere strictly to AP style and newsroom best practices

Required

2+ years of experience in financial journalism, business reporting, or capital markets coverage

Availability to work U.S. overnight hours consistently

Preferred

Experience with financial terminals, newsroom CMS tools, and real-time news environments
Knowledge of derivatives, commodities, or crypto markets is a plus
