Responsibilities
Conducts field observations, testing and data collection
Prepares reports detailing observations made, testing results, research conducted, and opinions or recommendations
Determines appropriate repair methodologies based on local jurisdictional requirements
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in engineering from an ABET accredited school
PE or SE license in Chicago
1 (junior) or 3 (intermediate) or more years of experience as a Civil or Structural Engineer
Familiar with modern building codes and industry standards
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills
Willing to travel and conduct site inspections
A desire to learn more about Forensic Engineering, excel and grow with us and within the profession
Valid Driver's License
Preferred
Experience in engineering design or construction
Experience conducting damage assessments and forensic investigations
Experience conducting building envelope evaluations
