Responsibilities

Build and maintain strong relationships with electrical contractors while driving preference for ABB through education, technical presentations, and proactive engagement
Execute sales strategies that expand market share and margin by identifying upcoming opportunities, influencing specifications, introducing new products, and closing deals with informed pricing decisions
Perform take‑offs, develop competitive proposals, negotiate project orders, and consistently meet or exceed assigned volume and margin targets
Track leads, wins, and losses in Salesforce while providing market intelligence, competitive insights, and hit‑rate analysis to leadership

Required

Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Business Administration or something similar from an accredited university/college with 5+ years of experience (sales and industry-specific experience preferred)
Knowledge and experience quoting and/or selling commercial, industrial and residential projects to electrical contractors
Demonstrated expertise in the electrical industry—including ABB products—supported by strong technical skills in applications, take‑offs, proposal development, analytical tools, and a solid understanding of customer financial drivers
Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and leadership abilities with a customer‑focused mindset, proven coordination and influencing skills, and successful experience working directly with electrical contractors
Ability and willingness to possess and maintain a valid driver's license
Candidates must already have work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US
