Responsibilities
Collaborate with cross-functional groups such as Product Management, Engineering, Sales and Legal to drive projects that increase users' safety and provide a better online experience through Google Ads
Conduct complex queries and analyses, build visual models, and construct presentations on abuse trends to aid in fraud prevention and influence change in existing abuse detection systems
Identify opportunities and sources for new signals, automation, and workflow improvements
Conduct investigations to catch fraudsters, enforce product policies, learn spam patterns/trends and identify product vulnerabilities; note that this role involves occasional exposure to adult or disturbing content
Maintain on-call availability outside of standard working hours, including weekends and holidays, to manage sensitive content or situations involving graphic, controversial, or upsetting topics
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience
2 years of experience in data analysis, including identifying trends, generating summary statistics, and drawing insights from quantitative and qualitative data
2 years of experience managing projects and defining project scope, goals, and deliverables
Preferred
Master's degree in a quantitative discipline
2 years of experience with one or more of the following languages: SQL, R, Python, or C++
2 years of experience with machine learning systems
Excellent written and verbal communication, problem-solving and critical thinking skills with attention to detail in an ever-changing environment
