Senior Program Manager – Vendor Management

Responsibilities
Manage the full lifecycle of technology vendor relationships, including onboarding, governance, performance reviews, and contract compliance
Establish and strengthen Tier-1 and Tier-2 strategic supplier relationships, engaging regularly with supplier leadership
Ensure vendors consistently meet contractual commitments, SLAs, KPIs, and compliance requirements
Conduct periodic supplier reviews to assess performance, roadmaps, and alignment with business needs
Develop and deliver innovative commercial models that contribute to CIO-driven cost savings targets
Perform Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) analyses, evaluating both direct and indirect costs
Develop vendor-driven capital and expense forecasts, presenting insights to Finance and IT Leadership
Ensure technology investments align with multi-year capital and operating expense plans
Partner with Operations, Architecture, IT Leadership, Sourcing, Finance, Legal, and Business teams to align vendor capabilities with enterprise objectives
Translate technology and business requirements into vendor-specific solutions
Collaborate with Sourcing to develop negotiation strategies and secure favorable contract terms
Develop quantitative analysis and reporting on supplier performance using KPIs and SLAs
Provide actionable insights to improve supplier performance, operational efficiency, and value realization
Support executive-level reporting to enable informed strategic decision-making
Identify emerging technologies, risks, and innovation opportunities within the vendor portfolio
Engage in market analysis, trend evaluation, and alternative sourcing strategies
Proactively identify and resolve operational challenges, driving continuous improvement initiatives
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field
8+ years of progressive experience in IT vendor management, sourcing, or technology strategy
Expertise managing Tier-1 technology suppliers within large enterprises
Strong understanding of IT contracts, vendor governance, and technology lifecycle management
Proven experience with cost optimization, business case development, and financial analysis
Strong project management, time management, and executive reporting skills
Excellent negotiation, communication, and presentation abilities
Ability to work independently while contributing to cross-functional team success
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
Knowledge of IT infrastructure, applications, cloud services, and emerging technologies
Preferred
Master's degree in Business, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field
Certifications such as CPSM, CTPP, ITIL, or similar
Experience with ERP and vendor management tools (SAP Ariba, Coupa, ServiceNow, GEP)
Experience managing vendors in regulated or highly complex enterprise environments
Strong track record of driving innovation and value creation through vendor partnerships
