Responsibilities
Support building enclosure consulting projects from conception to completion, including correspondence with clients and other interested parties
On-site survey, investigation, and documentation of existing conditions, including facade assessments via suspended scaffold or industrial rope access
Field testing of various materials and assemblies, including performance testing of curtainwall and facade assemblies
Damage assessment and cause and origin investigations
Analyzation of façade performance with specialized software (i.e. loading, thermal analysis, condensation risk, geometry)
Development of drawings/specifications and performance of construction administration services
Interpretation and research of building codes and industry standards (ASTM, AAMA, etc.)
Supporting colleagues serving as expert witnesses in various capacities, including depositions, mediations, arbitrations, and trials
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Architecture
Ability to pursue a Professional Engineer (PE) or Registered Architect (RA) license in the future
2+ years of relevant experience
Ability and willingness to travel within the US and internationally
Preferred
Roof and façade investigation/assessment/testing experience for large-scale projects preferred
