Environmental Remediation Field Engineer
Jacobs is focused on cleaning up our communities today to improve tomorrow. We’re looking for a mid-level Environmental Remediation Professional to work on an environmental remediation project for a private-sector client, ensuring compliance and safety while facilitating construction activities.

Responsibilities
Provide general onsite construction support to the existing project team
Ensure compliance with project plans, specifications, and standard operating procedures in the field
Support continuous improvement efforts
Maintain open communication with the Construction Manager
Oversee subcontractors implementing the work
Support consistent implementation of all site-specific health, safety, and environmental plans and objectives
Establish working relationships and provide visible support and leadership to project stakeholders
Support daily construction oversight activities and management of construction subcontractors
Operate, maintain, and monitor air monitoring equipment
Document field and/or construction activities in a Logbook and in photo logs
Prepare daily construction reports
Qualification
Required
At least three years of experience working on environmental remediation construction sites or in a similar construction-related field
Bachelor's degree in environmental engineering, Safety, Environmental Science, Construction Management or related field
Located in New Jersey, Pennsylvania or willing to permanently relocate
40-hour hazardous waste operations and emergency response (HAZWOPER) training and current 8-hour HAZWOPER refresher class
Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint
Ability to actively work outdoors and lift approximately 40 pounds
Valid State Driver's License
Strong ability to communicate with multiple levels of management within Jacobs and other project stakeholders
Self-driven time management and organizational skills
Experience with documenting field and/or construction activities in a Logbook and in photo logs
Experience with preparing daily construction reports
Experience and familiarity with air monitoring equipment, specifically 5-gas meters and PIDs - instrumentation calibration and maintenance experience is critical
Experience with donning and doffing Level C PPE
