Senior Business Development Manager
AMQ is seeking a Senior Business Development Manager focused on targeting small to medium-sized businesses for bundled furniture solutions. The role involves generating leads, building relationships, and promoting AMQ and Steelcase products to drive sales and market share.
Responsibilities
Prospect, strategize, and qualify self-generated new business opportunities through relationship building ,cold & warm calling, networking, referrals, industry and market research, and tools like ZoomInfo, Salesforce, CoStar, Construct Connect, and TIMS
Identify key decision-makers and meet with potential clients to promote solutions and services
Establish strategic relationships across communities, including Commercial Real Estate, Architecture and Design, Dealers, General Contractors, and End-Users to drive AMQ adoption and growth
Actively participate in networking organizations and attend events within assigned markets
Develop deep knowledge of all AMQ products and services. Some training on Steelcase products and services would be provided
Provide outstanding service and value through collaborative problem-solving and timely responses to client and dealer requests
Interface with dealer partners, Territory Managers, and end users to present tailored product solutions that differentiate AMQ from the competition
Partner with local TM and RSM to determine dealer account volume growth through regular Salesforce forecasting and projected annual projects
Attend and contribute to leads meetings and product training sessions focused on generating SMB opportunities with Steelcase and dealer partners. Participate in team meetings and events to promote team effectiveness and synergy
Adhere to KPIs and document business development sales activity in Salesforce, including call volume and targeting of customers and influencers
Increase awareness of the AMQ and Steelcase SMB capabilities through regular presentations to industry influencers in CRE and A&D
Stay attuned to the changing needs of the SMB segment and use critical thinking to enhance the delivery of AMQ and potentially Steelcase products to the market
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from a four-year college or university, preferred
3-5 years business development industry experience in selling commercial grade furniture
Prior outside sales experience interfacing with clients, vendors, dealers, and internal departments desired
Knowledge of office furniture manufacturer's product and application, proven sales ability and general understanding of business practices, pricing and discounting desired

Proficiency in using social media such as LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook to promote and support brand awareness
Frequent travel throughout assigned markets
Flexibility to regularly attend industry and or market events outside of normal business hours
Reliable transportation for local business travel for demos and business meetings
Ability to lift up to 40lbs
