Responsibilities
Lead hands-on accounting operations: A/P, A/R, bookkeeping, payroll, general ledger, and financial reporting
Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly (10-Q), and annual (10-K) financial statements in compliance with GAAP and SEC requirements
Develop and implement internal controls, accounting policies, and procedures
Support CFO with budgeting, forecasting, and board reporting
Oversee compliance with tax preparation and filings; coordinate with external advisors
Ensure proper consolidation of subsidiaries, joint ventures, and licensing agreements
Provide timely financial analysis to support management and strategic decisions
Communicate effectively with PCAOB-registered external auditors during reviews and audits
Qualification
Required
7–10+ years in accounting/finance, with at least 3 years in a Controller role at a public company
CPA required/preferred, with deep expertise in GAAP, SEC reporting (including 10-Ks and 10-Qs), and tax preparation
Proven ability to interact directly with PCAOB auditors
Strong background in public company environments (NASDAQ experience a plus)
Hands-on, detail-oriented, comfortable in fast-paced entrepreneurial environments
Preferred
Industry experience in technology, SaaS, fintech, or retail tech strongly preferred
