Maintenance Technician

Responsibilities

Perform preventive maintenance (PM) activities on facility equipment, machinery, and building systems according to established 30,60,90, and annual schedules
Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems
Diagnose equipment failures, determine root cause, and implement corrective actions to restore operation quickly and safely
Perform general facility maintenance, including repairs to:
Doors, locks, dock equipment, racking, and basic carpentry
Plumbing fixtures and piping (within scope of skill/authorization)
HVAC components (filters, belts, thermostats, basic troubleshooting)
Lighting, outlets, switches, and electrical panels (as qualified)
Maintain accurate maintenance documentation, including work orders, PM logs, parts usage, and equipment history
Use and maintain tools and diagnostic equipment such as multimeters, hand tools, power tools, and test instruments
Assist with installation, relocation, and setup of machinery and facility equipment
Coordinate with vendors/contractors for specialized repairs and scheduled inspections as needed
Follow all safety policies including LOTO (Lockout/Tagout), PPE requirements, and hazard reporting
Participate in continuous improvement efforts to increase uptime, reliability, and safety
Maintain a clean and organized maintenance shop and work areas

Required

Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift to 50 lbs
Ability to work at heights (including ladders and lifts) and in varied environmental conditions such as heat, cold, noise, and dust
Manual dexterity to safely operate tools and perform repairs in confined or awkward spaces
Reliable and punctual with consistent, dependable attendance
Demonstrates a strong teamwork mindset and ability to collaborate effectively with others

Preferred

HVAC, electrical, welding, PLC, or industrial maintenance certifications (as applicable)
Familiarity with: Motors, drives, conveyors, pumps, compressors
Sensors, relays, VFDs, and basic control systems
OSHA safety standards and facility compliance requirements
Forklift or lift equipment experience
