Responsibilities

Review and analyze manual rules, classifications, and form-related underwriting inquiries for voluntary and residual markets. Research background material to ensure a complete understanding of the reasons for recommending a change to the workers compensation infrastructure. Present research to Underwriting Committee and provides technical support to stakeholders
Participate in special projects as assigned, including item filing and publication process, system infrastructure testing and updating of procedures, as needed
Assist in preparation of materials for the Underwriting Committee and committee meeting logistics

Required

4+ years of workers compensation insurance experience as an underwriter, inspector, premium auditor, regulatory compliance analyst, or producer
Bachelor's degree, or additional related experience
Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to communicate effectively with all audiences at all levels
Demonstrated analytical and decision-making skills
Demonstrated knowledge of workers compensation insurance, including NCCI's Basic Manual, Scopes Manual as well as other NCCI underwriting manuals, and the Class Look-Up tool
Ability to work independently and in a team environment
Strong interpersonal communication skills and excellent customer service skills
Excellent organizational and time management skills
Good project management skills

Preferred

Certified Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU)
Associate in Risk Management (ARM)
Workers Compensation Professional (WCP)
