Responsibilities
Perform detailed structural analysis and design for a variety of systems and materials (steel, concrete, masonry, timber, and PEMB) utilizing current codes and standards
Review metal building manufacturer submittals and design compatible foundation systems, ensuring seamless integration between the pre-engineered structure and the site-specific components
Manage the structural scope of projects from conceptual design through construction administration, ensuring timelines and budgets are met
Act as a technical subject matter expert, coordinating closely with architects, drafters, metal building vendors, and other engineering disciplines
Conduct site visits to verify existing conditions and ensure construction conforms to structural plans and specifications
Provide technical guidance and review the work of junior engineers and designers, fostering a culture of continuous learning
Rigorous review of drawings, specifications, and reports to maintain the highest standards of safety and quality
Qualification
Required
A current Professional Engineer (PE) license is mandatory
Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
Proven experience in structural design and analysis
Strong command of structural engineering software (e.g., RISA, SAP2000, ETABS, RAM) and Revit/AutoCAD
The ability to explain complex structural concepts to non-technical stakeholders clearly and effectively
A self-starter attitude with a passion for efficiency and high-quality deliverables
Preferred
SE license is a plus
Master's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
Familiarity with Pre-Engineered Metal Buildings (PEMB) and their unique requirements
