Responsibilities
Develops policies for data updates on transparency websites and assists in maintaining health outcomes, performance, and information
Performs data querying, manipulation, and quality checks related to health outcomes and methodologies
Provides technical and professional advice and assistance to improve the efficiency of data dissemination activities through technological improvements and periodic review of data dissemination procedures
Lead Coordinator of the Florida Center Confidential Data Review Committee. Ensures the Agency is compliant with dissemination of confidential data per the Agency’s HIPAA policies and applicable state and federal laws
Maintains and updates the Florida Center Security Manual annually per the Agency’s data security and privacy rules
Provides technical assistance to facilities and consumers regarding the display and methodology of various health outcomes and measures
Maintains knowledge of various health databases and data query tools, enhancing data dissemination efficiency through technological improvements
Performs assigned research support and special tasks
Abstracts data from existing systems to create comprehensive datasets and communicates findings in accessible formats
Keeps detailed knowledge of relevant health care statutes and policies
Identifies personal needs for computer and other training and seeks and attends needed training
Actively participates in staff meetings and training seminars
Performs work in a timely manner, meeting all interim and final due dates
Performs other duties as requested
Qualification
Required
3 years of professional work experience in data analytics
3 years of professional work experience in database management
3 years of professional work experience in health care data privacy and security
3 years of professional work experience in health care administration
3 years of professional work experience using SPSS, Quadrant, and Microsoft Excel, including advance skills and knowledge of Pivot Tables, V-Lookup, If statements, and formatting for publication
