Technical Program Manager III, Safety Compliance, Platforms and Devices

Responsibilities
Provide risk analyses and assessments at both the system and component level (e.g., battery, laser, etc.), associated with design, manufacturing, and possible misuse for products
Define and oversee hardware certification test requirements and validate testing reports for accuracy, completeness, and ensure all mandatory requirements are properly accounted for in filing packages
Perform optical safety testing to International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) 60825-1 and IEC 62471, and advise teams on proper application of the standards
Perform safety testing to simulate faults and validate design and safety performance
Communicate certification status and issues in a clear, succinct, and timely manner to all impacted teams
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in a technical field, or equivalent practical experience
5 years of experience in program management
Experience with optical safety certification testing
Experience in hardware safety compliance
Preferred
5 years of industrial experience in one of the following industries: medical devices, consumer goods/products, aerospace/defense, consumer electronics, semiconductors, or display/lighting
Experience in safety standards including optical safety standards (e.g., IEC 60825-1, IEC 62471, IEC 60950-1, IEC 62368-1)
Experience with laboratory and problem-solving equipment related to safety testing
