Responsibilities
Design, develop, and support enterprise Java/J2EE applications from end to end
Build and maintain RESTful APIs using JSON and XML
Develop and optimize complex SQL queries (Informix or PostgreSQL preferred)
Support production systems, including log analysis, root cause analysis, and on-call support
Collaborate with project managers, stakeholders, and cross-functional teams
Provide technical leadership, architecture guidance, and mentoring to developers
Work with offsite development teams and external service providers
Ensure applications adhere to engineering standards, processes, and best practices
Participate in architecture, design, development, QA, and deployment activities
Qualification
Required
7+ years of backend Java development experience
Strong experience with Java, Spring Framework, JBoss, and enterprise J2EE design patterns
Proven experience developing REST APIs
Strong SQL skills with experience in Informix, PostgreSQL, DB2, or Oracle
Experience supporting and troubleshooting production systems
Solid understanding of application performance tuning and monitoring
Excellent communication, problem-solving, and collaboration skills
Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to work independently in a remote environment
Preferred
Experience with Master Data Management (MDM) or ETL tools (Informatica preferred)
Experience with Datadog or similar monitoring tools
Previous consulting experience
AWS Developer or Java certification
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field preferred
Equivalent practical experience will be considered
