NEOGOV is seeking a Parks and Recreation Intern with a focus on Recreation Programming to assist the Westfield Parks & Recreation team. The role involves creating and executing programs, supporting on-site operations, and gaining practical experience in program development and logistics.

Responsibilities

Create new programs for the Parks Department from planning through execution, including creation of timelines, experience design, and marketing strategy
Handle all planning needs for on-site execution, with guidance from the Parks team
Assist with on-site execution at Kids Summer Series programs, including setup and teardown
Problem solve on-site during programs
Assist with on-site execution efforts at Jams at the Junction
Support vendor management, including vendor load-in
Assist with volunteer management at the information tent
Setup and teardown for programs

Required

Strong communication skills
Majoring in Event Management, Tourism and Hospitality Management, Communications, or Business
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Experience with event planning
Experience with vendor coordination
Experience with volunteer management
Experience with social media content creation
Prepared to work in a fast-paced team environment
Working towards a bachelor's degree in Event Management, Tourism and Hospitality Management, Communications, or Business
Valid driver's license in the State of Indiana
Ability to perform essential functions satisfactorily
