Responsibilities
Plans and manages a portfolio of projects. Writes and discusses project plan(s), recommendations and findings. Supports products offered and used by citizen experience teams
Coordinates resources to support related projects; provides assistance in resolving problems; recommends system changes and establishes project priorities
Coordinates projects and ensures adequate administrative controls, quality, and procedural efficiencies are in place
Meets with agency representatives to determine needs and challenges of related projects
Meets and confers with management, users, and contract providers to resolve problems and coordinate services to support projects
Works with product owners and team members to set goals, establish priorities, manage resources, develop concepts and approaches, reviews projects progress and results
Leads project status meetings and references or updates project tools used by stakeholders, which may vary based on agency or need of a given project
Assists with determining feature improvements and updates to service offerings
Serve as the Scrum Master for artificial intelligence and digital transparency teams
Articulate agile project management concepts to team members and stakeholders
Qualification
Required
Be detail-oriented in their work
Possess the ability to manage multiple tasks, multiple on-going projects as well as operational tasks flowing into the group
Act as a primary point of contact and gatekeeper of the tasks and projects so that work is prioritized and scheduled prior to being worked
Experience in project management and related principles, theories, and practices
Speak clearly, concisely and effectively; listen and understand; present information and ideas verbally and in written form with clear understanding. Focus on factual information
The ability to read and understand information and ideas presented in writing
The ability to tell when something is wrong or is likely to go wrong. It does not require solving the problem, only recognizing there is a problem
The ability to apply general rules to specific problems to produce answers that make sense
The ability to arrange tasks or actions in a certain order or pattern according to a specific rule or set of rules
Using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems
Understanding the implications of new information for both current and future problem-solving and decision-making
Monitoring/Assessing performance of yourself, other individuals, or organizations to make improvements or take corrective action
Being aware of others' reactions and understanding why they react as they do
Persuading others to change their minds or behavior
Bringing others together and trying to reconcile differences
Determining how a system should work and how changes in conditions, operations, and the environment will affect outcomes
Identifying measures or indicators of system performance and the actions needed to improve or correct performance, relative to the goals of the system
Experience with online project management and collaboration tools, with a preference for Jira and Lucid products
Experience facilitating daily stand-up meetings, sprint planning, sprint retrospectives, and backlog grooming
