Women's Imaging Aide - (Per Diem) Float

The role involves ensuring patient comfort, performing clinical procedures, and assisting with various administrative tasks related to patient care.

Responsibilities
Performs necessary functions to ensure patient comfort and satisfaction with service
Communicates changes in patients’ conditions and onsite care team
Restocks department supplies as needed
Performs equipment checks and unit specific maintenance duties as appropriate to department
Assists in orienting and educating new staff
Performs clinical procedures within scope of practice
Extracts data from the medical record and records as directed
Transcribes orders, and schedules tests/ procedures
Assures communication of patient arrival to the appropriate department
Keeps a watchful eye on the waiting room to ensure that all patients are seen for service within 15 minutes of their arrival
Answers the telephone within 3 rings, assists or directs the caller to the appropriate person or department, and accurately records messages
As needed, contact other facilities for outside films and reports
Process requests for release of information in accordance with the policies set forth by the Medical Record Department
Qualification
Required
High School diploma or equivalent required
Obtain BLS certification within sixty days of employment or transfer to position
Basic computer skills required
