Field Technical Supervisor
Ravitron is a trusted provider of quality and dependable service specializing in designing and integrating Telephone, Data, and CCTV solutions. They are seeking a Field Technical Supervisor to oversee technical and operational aspects of fieldwork, manage a team of technicians, and ensure projects meet client expectations.
Responsibilities
Install, test, troubleshoot, and maintain a wide range of systems, including structured cabling, security cameras, access control, telephone systems, and computer systems
Install, test, and service low-voltage cabling systems such as coaxial, Cat5/Cat6, and fiber optic cabling
Perform preventive maintenance to ensure optimal system performance and extend equipment lifespan
Mount, configure, and troubleshoot security camera systems
Complete technical installations and repairs for systems including access control, audio/visual, and intercom systems
Diagnose and resolve customer-reported technical issues efficiently and accurately
Communicate clearly with customers, providing professional explanations and practical solutions to technical questions
Maintain a clean, organized, and professional work environment at customer sites
Complete accurate and detailed service documentation for all work performed
Follow all safety regulations, industry standards, and company protocols to ensure a safe work environment
Qualification
Required
Supervisory Skills and Team Management experience, with the ability to lead and motivate a team effectively
Strong Analytical Skills, with a focus on troubleshooting and problem-solving
Commitment to professionalism and excellent communication, with the ability to convey technical information clearly and build positive relationships
Proficiency in providing Technical Support and a solid understanding of relevant systems and technologies
Strong organizational and time management skills
Possess a valid driver's license and reliable transportation
Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs
Ability to climb up and down a ladder
Perform extended overhead cabling/wiring from ladders, lifts, and bucket truck
Ability to crawl into tight spaces for installation purposes of devices and equipment
Minimum of 2 years of experience in a field technician role or related industry
Strong understanding of electrical and/or mechanical systems
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
Effective communication and interpersonal skills to build rapport with customers
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
A strong work ethic and a commitment to providing exceptional customer service
Consistently strives for attention to detail and high quality of work
Preferred
Relevant certifications or technical qualifications in a related field are highly desirable
General VoIP experience with IP PBX and associated endpoints
Experience with Telephone System Installation & Programming
Experience with CCTV / Access Control System Installation
Experience with Computer Services & Operations
Experience with Low Voltage / Fiber Cable Installation
