Responsibilities
We are seeking an experienced .NET Developer for a contract-to-hire role supporting large-scale enterprise modernization initiatives within student loan processing systems
This role requires 5+ years of hands-on .NET experience, strong cloud knowledge (AWS), and the ability to work in high-volume, regulated environments
5+ years of .NET development experience, including .NET Framework 4.8.x and modern .NET (8+)
Enterprise application development with complex business logic and high-throughput transaction processing
Hands-on experience with AWS services, including Lambda, SQS/SNS, S3, ECS/EKS
Strong SQL Server and T-SQL skills, including performance tuning and optimization
Entity Framework experience, preferably with migrations from EF 6 to EF Core
Background in financial services, particularly student lending or credit evaluation systems
Legacy system modernization, including migrations from .NET Framework to .NET Core / .NET 8+
Microservices architecture and event-driven system design
Experience working in regulated environments with compliance standards such as SOX, PCI DSS, and FCRA
Proven technical leadership and ability to mentor junior developers
Strong cross-functional collaboration with business, product, and compliance teams
Comfort adopting AI-assisted development tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot) to improve productivity
Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders
