QA Engineer/Video Test engineer – Live Streaming
Ampstek is looking for a QA Engineer with strong Live Streaming experience to ensure the quality, stability, and performance of real-time video streaming applications. The role focuses on testing low-latency live video, monitoring stream health, and validating end-to-end live broadcast workflows across platforms and devices.
Responsibilities
Test Live Streaming video (sports, events, news, real-time feeds)
Validate low-latency streaming, start-up time, buffering, and stream continuity
Monitor stream health during live events
Test failover, redundancy, and recovery scenarios
Validate audio/video sync during long live sessions
Test DVR, pause, rewind, and catch-up TV features
Perform network condition testing (packet loss, jitter, bandwidth drops)
Validate Adaptive Bitrate (ABR) switching in real time
Test streaming protocols: HLS (Live), MPEG-DASH, RTMP
Verify DRM & geo-restriction for live content
Log and triage live-event defects with rapid turnaround
Coordinate with NOC, DevOps, and Broadcast teams
Qualification
Required
5–10+ years of experience in QA Engineering
Strong Live Streaming experience
Experience with Manual and Automation Scripting
Testing Live Streaming video (sports, events, news, real-time feeds)
Validating low-latency streaming, start-up time, buffering, and stream continuity
Monitoring stream health during live events
Testing failover, redundancy, and recovery scenarios
Validating audio/video sync during long live sessions
Testing DVR, pause, rewind, and catch-up TV features
