Senior Property Accountant - Remote
Turn2Partners is seeking a Senior Property Accountant to join a stable, highly collaborative accounting team supporting a portfolio of residential, retail, and commercial properties. This role involves managing day-to-day accounting operations, preparing financial statements, and assisting with budgets and special projects.
Responsibilities
Analyze operating revenue and expense variances
Reconcile balance sheet and general ledger accounts to supporting reports
Prepare monthly bank reconciliations
Process monthly payments, including debt service and owner distributions
Manage real estate tax, insurance payments, personal property tax filings, and business licenses
Post monthly accruals and collaborate with property and regional managers to ensure accuracy
Maintain schedules for equity and replacement reserves
Support annual budget preparation, re-forecasting, and cash re-forecasts
Assist with audit requests and prepare supporting schedules
Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement solutions
Communicate effectively with site teams, regional managers, and third-party stakeholders
Qualification
Required
BA/BS in Accounting or Finance from a U.S. accredited institution
5–7+ years of experience in property management accounting (residential and/or commercial)
Strong knowledge of GAAP and general ledger management
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUPs, PivotTables, SUMIFs, etc.)
Experience with Yardi or similar property management software (MRI a plus)
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities simultaneously
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
Must be local to the DMV area
Must be a U.S. citizen
