Responsibilities
Maintain the employee suggestion program, including tracking and reporting associated monthly data
Provide support in maintaining and improving the division’s 5S program
Monitor training requirements and assist in providing resources to meet requirements defined in the MAFACT system
Facilitate and support Kaizen events, including development of action plans and ensuring timely and effective event closure
Support internal and external audits led by the Quality department
Perform other duties as assigned in support of quality and continuous improvement initiatives
Qualification
Required
Support quality and continuous improvement initiatives under the direction of the Quality Manager
Hands-on experience with lean manufacturing principles, Kaizen events, quality systems, and data tracking
Maintain the employee suggestion program, including tracking and reporting associated monthly data
Provide support in maintaining and improving the division's 5S program
Monitor training requirements and assist in providing resources to meet requirements defined in the MAFACT system
Facilitate and support Kaizen events, including development of action plans and ensuring timely and effective event closure
Support internal and external audits led by the Quality department
Perform other duties as assigned in support of quality and continuous improvement initiatives
Preferred
Currently pursuing a degree in Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, Business, or a related field
Experience or exposure to lean manufacturing principles, 5S, continuous improvement projects, and/or capacity planning
Basic knowledge of quality systems or manufacturing quality concepts preferred
Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
Positive, 'can-do' attitude with a willingness to learn and take initiative
Adaptable and comfortable learning new software systems and tools
Effective communication skills and ability to work in a team-based environment
