Maintenance Mechanic I - Engineering (Full-Time)

Sea Island Company is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic I to join their Engineering Team. The role involves overseeing maintenance of equipment and facilities, ensuring safety and timely resolution of maintenance issues while providing exceptional service to guests and team members.

Travel

Responsibilities

Oversee maintenance of equipment, furnishings, plumbing, electrical systems, heating/air conditioning, refrigeration, and building maintenance
Monitor work environment and public areas to recognize safety hazards and unsafe practices
Perform proactive and preventative maintenance on all equipment including inspections and diagnostics
Maintain inventory of supplies and parts, and regulate usage, repairing items as needed
Train others on the safe and proper use of equipment and tools
Collaborate with the Housekeeping and other teams, handling work such as excavation and fill, laying pipe, pulling wire, debris removal, polishing, burnishing, pressure washing, and related heavy-duty cleaning as needed
Partner with the Security team in maintaining Occupational Safety & Health Administration (OSHA) standards
Drive company vehicles attentively and safely and keep work areas and vehicles clean, safe, and well organized
Follow team’s processes and procedures, including standards for quality, timing, attendance, appearance, and recordkeeping
Follow all Sea Island safety protocols, including appropriate use of equipment and chemicals
Maintain knowledge of Sea Island’s properties, services, and offerings, and share this information with guests and members
Help resolve service issues in a timely and positive way, following up on issues as needed
Execute other duties as delegated by leadership

Required

Ability to provide friendly, attentive, and timely service
Capability to monitor work environment and public areas for safety hazards
Experience in performing proactive and preventative maintenance on all equipment including inspections and diagnostics
Ability to maintain inventory of supplies and parts, and regulate usage
Competence in training others on the safe and proper use of equipment and tools
Collaboration skills with Housekeeping and other teams
