Workers Compensation Specialist

Responsibilities
Manage and monitor workers’ compensation and SWC claims, coordinating with leave-of-absence and workers’ comp vendors on return‑to‑work, payment issues, and escalations
Support regional Workers’ Compensation Managers to ensure timely submission of SWC and concurrent FMLA claims, including preparing initial FMLA templates
Oversee workers’ compensation SOX reconciliation and audit activities and assist with insurance and vendor renewals
Partner with Controlling to track claims exceeding self‑insured retention and process reimbursement requests with excess carriers
Contribute to accurate and timely filing and reporting for Goodyear’s Self‑Insured and State Programs and analyze monthly data to support departmental and business unit needs
Serve as the North America as a contact for the Risktrac system, providing monthly analyses and generating ad‑hoc reports
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in finance, business or a related field
3+ years of experience in workers' compensation claim's role
Preferred
Experience in self-insurance
Interpersonal skills that establish and maintain excellent relations and credibility
Demonstrates ethical and moral behavior, unquestionable integrity, and character
Highly organized and detailed with the ability to manage deadlines and multiple priorities
Inquisitive nature with sense of urgency
