Recovery Grants Supervisor
The North Carolina Department of Environmental Quality (DEQ) is dedicated to providing environmental stewardship across the state. The Recovery Grants Supervisor will lead and manage grant support programs for communities affected by Hurricane Helene, ensuring compliance with funding requirements and providing assistance to local governments and nonprofits.

Responsibilities
Leads and manages a comprehensive grant support and technical assistance program that assists communities impacted by Hurricane Helene to secure funding for recovery
Responsible for designing grant strategies, providing hands-on support to local governments and nonprofits, and ensuring alignment with federal, state, and philanthropic funding requirements
Oversees multiple grant programs, ensuring effective, transparent, and compliant administration
Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, including reporting and documentation requirements
Monitors subgrantee performance and develop corrective action or improvement plans as needed
Designs and implements strategies to identify and pursue funding opportunities for local governments, nonprofits, and other eligible entities
Prepares internal and external reports on grant program performance and community impact
Supervises staff responsible for program implementation and monitoring
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree from an appropriately accredited institution and five (5) years of progressive experience related to the area of assignment; or an equivalent combination of training and experience
